Mason Pope is an investment professional with a broad range of experience in the finance industry. Prior to joining Ivy Asset Group in 2020, Mr. Pope served for 15 years as Director of Corporate Development at Sherman Financial Group where the company actively invested in a wide array of operating companies and asset types including Credit One bank, Resurgent Capital and Kroll Bond Rating Agency. Sherman’s investing history included de novo start-ups, whole company acquisitions, joint ventures, minority equity investments, portfolio purchases and senior and subordinated debt acquisitions. Through its affiliated companies, Sherman invested $9B and arranged more than $4B in financing for portfolio companies. Earlier in his career, Mr. Pope was a Senior Vice President at Nikko Securities (now part of CitiGroup), where he oversaw sales for the company’s Global Fixed Income group. Additionally, he was Co-Founder and CEO of QuickFarm, Inc., a leading technology platform for farmers across the US and Canada. Mr. Pope led the fundraising, development and operations of the company before completing its successful sale to DTN/Progressive Farmer. Mr. Pope graduated from Washington and Lee University.
