JOHN C. HOOFF

Mr. Hooff is an experienced leader in the credit and financial industries who brings operational applications, financial management, institutional sales, and transaction structuring to Ivy Asset Group. As founder of Ivy, Mr. Hooff serves on Ivy’s Investment Committee and is responsible for sourcing new credit opportunities, portfolio management, and credit strategies. Prior to founding Ivy, Mr. Hooff consulted for TMX Finance, LLC during the restructuring of their senior debt facility in 2010. During 2009, Mr. Hooff worked for Breckenridge Capital, a boutique investment bank in Atlanta acting in various operations and financial consulting roles. He has received all necessary Securities and Exchange Commission licenses to become a FINRA qualified Registered Representative (Series 7 and Series 63). He also holds the CCIM real estate designation and brokerage and sales licenses in five Mid-Atlantic states. Mr. Hooff graduated from The University of Georgia Terry College of Business.

JOHN C. HOOFF “Sr.”

Mr. Hooff has been active in a broad spectrum of business activities for over 35 years including lending, insurance, real estate, and food franchising. His career focus has been as an executive in the financial services industry for more than 25 years with an emphasis on consumer and mortgage lending, hedging, mortgage sales and securitization. Mr. Hooff has held numerous senior level positions including his most recent as President of Aegis Wholesale Company, a mortgage company producing $15 billion annually. Mr. Hooff is a seasoned executive leader who has had exposure to a variety of economic environments and who has held leadership roles with numerous regulated and unregulated entities. Mr. Hooff graduated from the University of Virginia and attended business school at American University.

Brian Pavlock

Chief Financial Officer

Brian Pavlock joined as Chief Financial Officer in 2022 bringing nearly 20 years of large financial institution CFO experience, primarily in commercial lending and banking. Prior to joining Ivy, Mr. Pavlock spent the last 13+ years in the CFO group of the Capital One commercial banking division where he held numerous roles helping scale and grow the business from $20B to $100B in assets. He has extensive experience in process and operational improvements, building and developing high performing teams, and creating new business growth. Most recently, Mr. Pavlock was CFO for treasury management, business payments, deposits, and commercial cards. Prior to that role, he served as CFO for all commercial & industrial lending and banking with a focus of lending to private debt and equity funds.

Mr. Pavlock received his B.S. in Commerce from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia.

Marvin Fentress

General Counsel

Mr. Fentress most recently served as General Counsel of Prog Holdings, Inc. (NYSE PRG), the Salt Lake City financial technology holding company for Progressive Leasing an in-store, app-based, e-commerce POS lease-to-own solution; Vive Financial, an omnichannel provider of second-look revolving credit products; Four Technologies, a provider of "BNPL" payment options; and PRG Ventures, offering additional fintech products. Mr. Fentress was engaged in private law practice in Savannah, Georgia, beginning in 1986, where he served as outside counsel to TMX Finance (TitleMax) from its inception in 1998. In 2012 he accepted the position of General Counsel at Progressive Leasing and built the company’s legal and compliance teams. Following the company’s spin-off of the Aaron’s business in 2020, he became General Counsel of the newly-formed Prog Holdings. He retired from Prog Holdings in July 2022 and returned to Savannah.

He graduated from the University of Virginia with his B.A. in Mathematics and obtained his law degree from the University of Georgia.

George Phillips

Director, Risk and Credit

Mr. Phillips joined Ivy Asset group in 2021 and serves as Director of Risk & Credit. Mr. Phillips is an investment professional with 5+ years of experience in the finance industry. Prior to joining Ivy Asset Group, Mr. Phillips served as an Assistant Vice President at MidCap Financial, a middle market-focused, specialty finance firm that provides debt solutions to companies across all industries. MidCap Financial is managed by Apollo Capital Management, L.P., a subsidiary of Apollo Global Management, LLC. Mr. Phillips began his career in investment banking with Wells Fargo Securities, where he worked in the Middle Market Group, specializing in sellside M&A and leveraged finance. Mr. Phillips is a graduate of University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce with a B.Sc. degree in Finance and Business Management.

Matt Taylor

Director of Investments

Matt Taylor is a seasoned investment professional with over fifteen years of investment industry experience. Prior to joining Ivy Asset Group in 2024, Mr. Taylor spent eleven years as Portfolio Manager of Anderson Growth Partners (AGP), an $850M multi-family office investing on behalf of select families and businesses. At AGP, he advised clients on closely held operating businesses and alternative investment strategies across several asset classes. Mr. Taylor also developed and managed a private investment fund making select investments in quality companies operated by exceptional management teams. Prior to AGP, he was a Senior Research Analyst covering the consumer sector at Avondale Partners, a boutique investment bank. Earlier in his career, Mr. Taylor worked as a management consultant with ICOR Partners and IBM Global Services, advising organizations on technology strategy.

Mr. Taylor earned an M.B.A. from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business and a B.S. in Engineering Science from Vanderbilt University.

Eric Slover, CFA

Director of Capital Markets

Eric Slover, CFA is Director of Capital Markets at Ivy Asset Group. Mr. Slover has over 20 years of experience in corporate finance and capital markets. Prior to joining Ivy, Eric was the CFO of a fintech venture, where he led strategy and operations. His previous financial background includes roles in banking and as a securities analyst at Truist Securities, Barclays, and Lehman Brothers in NYC. Mr. Slover began his career in M&A and derivatives structuring. He holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and is a CFA charterholder.

BILL BEERY

SVP, Business Development

Bill joined Ivy Asset Group in 2018 and serves as Director of Business Development. He works closely with our existing institutional and accredited individual partners. He also is responsible for introducing new investors to Ivy’s credit platform.

Prior to joining Ivy, Bill served as Director/Manager for Citi’s southeast institutional equity desk, servicing multi-cap US and global asset managers while cross-selling Citi’s full suite of institutional equity products. Clients included institutional equity managers ranging from $100MM to $100B in AUM. After his tenure at Citi, Bill was an Executive Director for J.P. Morgan and led the southeast middle market institutional equity desk. Clients primarily consisted of hedge funds and asset managers with AUM less than $1B.

Bill is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a B.A. degree in Economics. He also earned his MBA from Georgia State University’s J. Mack Robinson College of Business with a concentration in Finance.

Jennie O’Reilly

Director, Investor Relations and Marketing

Jennie O'Reilly serves as the Director of Investor Relations and Marketing at Ivy Asset Group, bringing over 15 years of expertise in finance, investor relations, and strategic marketing to the firm. Since joining the firm in 2014, Jennie has been instrumental in managing and nurturing relationships with investors, as well as developing and executing marketing strategies that enhance the firm’s visibility and reputation in the private credit sector. Prior to joining Ivy Asset Group, Jennie held the position of Business Analyst at TMX Finance (TitleMax), where they successfully streamlined financial reporting processes and supported strategic decision-making initiatives

Ms. O'Reilly holds a B.B.A in Finance and Marketing from Georgia Southern University.

Nathalie Jacson

Controller

Ms. Jacson is the Controller for Ivy Asset Group. Ms. Jacson joined Ivy in 2018 and is involved in the accounting, financial reporting, and investor reporting for Ivy’s private credit funds and investment entities. Prior to joining Ivy, Ms. Jacson began her career in public accounting, providing individual and business tax planning and consulting, and income tax return preparation for individuals, partnerships, and corporations. Ms. Jacson graduated from Georgia Southern University with a BBA in Accounting with an emphasis in Fraud Examination.

Zach Lee

Senior Associate, Underwriting and Risk

Mr. Lee serves as the Senior Associate of Underwriting and Risk for Ivy Asset Group. Mr. Lee is an investment professional with 5+ years of experience in the finance industry. Prior to joining Ivy Asset Group, Mr. Lee worked for Alter Domus in the financial reporting department for private equity and venture capital funds.
Mr. Lee graduated from Utah State University with a B.S. degree in Finance.

Brody Haley

MASON POPE

Advisor

Mason Pope is an investment professional with a broad range of experience in the finance industry. Prior to joining Ivy Asset Group in 2020, Mr. Pope served for 15 years as Director of Corporate Development at Sherman Financial Group where the company actively invested in a wide array of operating companies and asset types including Credit One bank, Resurgent Capital and Kroll Bond Rating Agency. Sherman’s investing history included de novo start-ups, whole company acquisitions, joint ventures, minority equity investments, portfolio purchases and senior and subordinated debt acquisitions. Through its affiliated companies, Sherman invested $9B and arranged more than $4B in financing for portfolio companies. Earlier in his career, Mr. Pope was a Senior Vice President at Nikko Securities (now part of CitiGroup), where he oversaw sales for the company’s Global Fixed Income group. Additionally, he was Co-Founder and CEO of QuickFarm, Inc., a leading technology platform for farmers across the US and Canada. Mr. Pope led the fundraising, development and operations of the company before completing its successful sale to DTN/Progressive Farmer. Mr. Pope graduated from Washington and Lee University.

Frank Laura

Frank Laura is an accomplished executive whose dynamic 30-plus-year career in the fintech sector has been defined by his strategic leadership in technology and information security.

Most recently, Frank served as the Chief Technology Officer at EngageSmart, where he was instrumental in the company navigating pivotal growth phases, including its notable transition to a publicly-traded entity and subsequent acquisition by Vista Equity Partners in 2024. His expertise and leadership focus was a driving force behind the firm’s reputation as a leader in innovative customer engagement solutions.

Frank’s expertise has been honed through executive level technology roles at high-growth, profitable industry innovators and disruptors such as Quicken Loans (Rocket Mortgage), Progressive Leasing, and Aaron’s, where he has been recognized as a pioneer, thought leader, and leadership authority.

Frank’s leadership philosophy is deeply rooted in a people-centric approach, fostering a culture of idea sharing and execution. His innovative mindset extends beyond automating processes to creating meaningful solutions and company value. With specialties in SaaS architecture, technology planning, information security, governance, data analytics, AI and ML, and software engineering, Frank has consistently driven technical operations and IT governance to new heights.

Frank earned a B.S. in Business and minor in Architecture from Lawrence Technological University.
